The extendable timber trailer concept was put to us originally by a client who got fed up making two trips to site. One for the tractor and one for the trailer then again the same for the return journey. We came up with the idea to telescope the trailer to make it as short as possible allowing both tractor and trailer to be transported in one go on a 16' flatbed. The drawbar shortens and the rear bolster can be slid in and out. The trailer goes from 2.4m to 4m. One of the benefits of the drawbar telescoping is you can balance your load. If you are carrying long logs the drawbar can be lengthend and if short then the drawbar can go to a mid position. The rear bolster can also be adjusted in a similar fashion to cater for short or long logs.
